On The Fringe

Looking to spice up your handbag? Fringe additives onto bags if one of the hottest trends for spring and summer 2011. Fringe styles have ruled both jewelry and outwear trends and now it's taking over our handbags. Fringe bags can come is variety of styles from shoulder bags, to satchels, to clutches, to cross bodies- whichever you please. Find fringe bags most commonly colored in browns, blacks and tan hues. To make the style more indie rock, add some bright colors and make it pop!
Wondering how to rock a fringe bag? My advice to you is just look at Kate Hudson. She has the perfect amount of indie-rock style and simple style to make this look her own. By matching her clogs (indie style) to her bag, the leather accent is brought out when you see the two together. It's an excellent way to bring attention to both the shoes and the bag. As you can see, you can hold your bag on your shoulder, across in the front or even carry it if that's more comfortable for you. Fringe is definitely an attention grabber and unfortunately may sometimes get in the way (but not too badly if you've got your bag on comfortably). But the moral of the story is, Kate Hudson is iconic when it comes to fringe and indie style!
Now how much does a fringe bag cost? It all depends where you're purchasing it. I know that H&M sells quality bags such as the one above for much less than stores like Bloomie's or Barney's. But if you're willing to pay hundred of dollars, be my guest. But if you're just looking to have the bag because it's trending, I'd suggest making a trip to Forever 21 or H&M because they have them for under $50, which is exceptionally reasonable. So there's no excuse not to have this bag! If you love it, go out and buy it! Try something new and rock this trend while it's stylish. There's no harm in trying.
Your girl,
xx ZM
