Soft, Subtle & Stylish

Along with the brights we're seeing everywhere this season, don't forget about neutrals and pastels! Pastels are known as spring/summer colors because they're subtle but at the same time vibrant. Colors have an effect on their surroundings, influencing moods and the atmosphere. Pastels [and neutrals] have a calmness and innocence about them that can bring softness not only to your fashion, but comfort to the interior of your home. 

Pastel color shades are light, airy dreamy and in combination with fluid styles, create a look that is sophisticated and extremely elegant. Traditionally soft colors are the ones to stick with, don't just tone down any bright color into a pastel, make sure it will match other light colors beforehand. Fashion is never light and bouncy so take advantage of this soft statement in wearable style!

Pastels are perfect for fashion, interiors and even table top settings. The lightness of neutral hues also looks wonderful against tanned skin! And when paired with something dramatic such as black, the lightness is shadowed by the darkness of the black and it's a trend in itself. Adding prints such as soft plaids, polka dots or even faded stripes will add a visual effect to your style.
