With almost a week of summer under our sleeves, it's safe to say bikini season is in full swing. I for one, love bathing suits. I see one and I instantly think of the beach, another thing that I love. July 5 will mark the 67th anniversary of the bikini, and I can promise you that I'll be celebrating accordingly. In honor of the sunshine and all of our newly-formed tan lines, let's take a look back into what bikinis used to be and what they have become over the years. It's interesting to see what swimwear used to be -- full body coverage has gone from itsy-bitsy bikini in less than 100 years. Photos are from the Vogue archives.
